With their east-meets-west twist on mid-century classics, this young duo has jump-started their hometown’s design scene.” From the archives of Dwell magazine - an interview with Autoban http://www.dwell.com/profiles/article/young-turks (This image: Autoban’s design for The House Hotel Nisantasi)

“It’s important that a space works with people, that it’s flexible. I like moving things around, like you can do in this space. It’s structurally strong, but also has the freedom to evolve and respond to changing circumstances,” Ilse Crawford in South China Morning Post, explaining her design for Duddell’s Art Centre. http://ow.ly/lS9sn

Neri&Hu installation at NY Design Week 2013 to launch collaboration between Neri&Hu and De La Espada
Wallpaper magazine explains the exhibition thus: “Visitors made their way down a dark corridor lined with pigeon holes, which they peeked through to see sketches, renderings and models of other Neri & Hu projects, before entering the main space where the new pieces could be viewed. Coupled with the sounds of Shanghai’s busy streets that were piped into the space and the raw brick walls of the existing building, the exhibition format brought to mind the inner and outer courtyard format of traditional Chinese houses.” More http://ow.ly/lieSF
